6 Primaries

For many years I believed that there were only three primary colors and that is true if you actually can find three tubes that are perfect primaries. However, most paint manufacturers do not make three perfect primaries and you can guess why.
We need actually six primaries. A red that is warm and a red that is cool. A yellow that is warm and a yellow that is cool and likewise, a blue that is warm and a blue that is cool. By mixing a warm Red with a warm Yellow, an intense Orange results. Cross a warm and cool primary and the result will be sullied.
