New series "VORTICES"

Starting a new series "VORTICES" which are 32" x 40"
charcoal drawings on Osnaberg cloth mounted on Masonite panels.

The cloth is a slightly open weave so the primer soaks through and bonds with a prime coat on the Masonite. I sand the panel with rough sandpaper to give it some tooth to help the primer bond.
I am using PPG Polyvinyl Acetate white primer $15 a gallon.  Also using vine charcoal and compressed charcoal and DYI paper stomps.
